I. Blues
An escape for the young,
Overworked single Mother of
Two under the age of two.
II. Jazz
The only hopeful thing,
Left for the
Mourners of Emmett Till.
III. Metal
The teenaged boy listens to it to,
Block out the fighting between his parents.
IV. Pop
A naïve girl and boy
Are blind.
A blind naïve girl and boy and pop
Are one.
V. Hip-Hop
The voice of the shy insecure,
Girl who has the urge to say
What she gotta to say,
But doesn’t have the
Voice to.
VI. Classical
The sounds that the old,
Italian Immigrant grew
Up with. The man
Came to America,
Only with a record
Player to his name.
VII. Country
The smells of grass and animal
Manure mixed with, apple pie.
Soothing to the Cowboy
Coming home from overseas.
Waiting for the strange yodeling.
VII. EDM
The lights blind
The young girl
Whose trying to get away
From her abusers
Harsh voice.
